00:07The 82-year-old actor, known for his iconic characters like Indiana Jones and Anne Solo,

00:13is now all set to appear in the Marvel's upcoming film, Captain America Brave New World.

00:19In his film, he will portray General Thirdier's Thunderbolt Rose, a role which was previously

00:23played by the late William Hurt.

00:26Ford has now confirmed that once this film is complete, he has plans to retire.

00:32Speaking with The Wall Street Journal, Harrison Ford shared his thoughts on moving away from

00:36acting.

00:37I want to finish what I'm doing," he said.

00:39I would like to spend more time flying.

00:42Like to spend more time with my family at home.

00:45I have things in my life outside of movies.

00:48For decades, Harrison has played some of cinema's most memorable characters.

00:53However, his recent projects have faced several challenges.

00:57His latest film, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, had a tough run at the box office,

01:02and a source told Radar Online that the reception was disappointing for Ford.

01:08Despite the film's struggles, Harrison Ford stands by his decision to make it.

01:12Reflecting on his final adventure as Indy, he said,

01:16I was really the one who fell there was another story to tell.

01:19When Indy had suffered the consequences of the life that he had to live, I wanted one

01:24more chance to pick him up and shake the dust off his s**t.

01:27Hence he came out there, bereft of some of his vigor, to see what happened.

01:31I'm still happy I made that movie.

01:35Beyond Indiana Jones, Ford has faced similar experiences in other roles including his return

01:40as Han Solo in Star Wars The Force Awakens.

01:44In his latest TV project, 1923, a spin-off of Yellowstone was also recently cancelled

01:50despite its popularity.
