00:00Hi, my name is Naima Kitby, I'm an environmental educator at Al-Bahis Park.
00:08This area holds evidence back to 93 million years ago and it holds fossils of marine organisms
00:19which lived in a shallow sea that covered most of the UAE.
00:24This place is unique because of the ophiolite and this is an ancient rock that was formed
00:30by the oceanic plate that was forced over the Arabian.
00:35The Bahis Park contains two sections, an internal section and an external one.
00:41The internal section holds posters that explain the eras that Earth went through and on this
00:52hall also you can see old marine creatures or organisms that were on this landscape.
01:01Outside you can see the graveyard that's back to 3,000 years ago and up there you can
01:08see an outdoor educational area.
01:12The park will open at 9 in the morning and it will close at 7.30 in the evening.
01:20For children it's free and for adults they will have to pay ten dirhams.
