00:00Hello Quinten, so how was your winter?
00:07Good I think, it was the first winter where I didn't do any cyclocross races so I had
00:13a really long preparation towards the road season and I think for sure we found some
00:21points where we could get better and win some percentages and I think we did and I took
00:29the next step into getting a better version of myself.
00:33And what's your objective for this season?
00:37For sure to win a worldtour race again like I did last year but maybe one more would be
00:42nice and that's the first goal but the second goal is for sure to win a stage in a grand
00:49tour, it's probably not going to be the Tour de France but Giro of Vuelta would be super
00:55nice after.
00:57Last year I've been a couple of times close to finally win a stage there, it would be
01:01really nice.
01:02Yeah, so the same program as last year with Giro and Vuelta?
01:07More or less, like none of the grand tours are confirmed yet but probably it's going
01:13to be Giro in the beginning and then we're going to evaluate some things to see if I
01:18can get to the Vuelta but I would like to do as much grand tours as possible.
01:26And for the beginning of the season, what are the plans?
01:31So now next week I start, actually this weekend already I go to Figuera and Algarve.
01:38It's always a little bit unclear to see where I am at the moment after the altitude camp
01:44here but I hope I can immediately find the good legs and try to do a good result there.
01:49And then of course going to Strade Sardinienke and Catalunia Basque Country before the Ardennes,
01:57just try to be as good as possible there.
01:59I'm really aiming to have a good season start this year so I hope to make that happen.
02:08So the Ardennes Classics are the big goal of the first part of the season?
02:12Yes for sure, the Ardennes Classics are for sure the most important part of the season.
02:18Actually I just want to be ready from the first race and I want to make it as good as
02:22possible in the start already.
02:24You said that you have not ridden cyclocross this winter, did you have off-road objectives
02:33this year or it's off?
02:35No, I would like to do the World Championships Gravel of course at the end of the year again
02:42but you can plan a road season three or four months in advance and the first three or four
02:48months of the road season are really important for the team.
02:50So at that time I think it's almost impossible to do any off-road things but maybe after
02:56that we can speak a little bit to do some off-road or gravel racing.
03:02I really like it and I've done now two World Championships Gravel and I think it's also
03:08a next big thing in cycling and I really want to participate in some more if the chances are there.
