00:00On a day-to-day basis, our priests are given morning almsgiving, so that's their food that
00:12they take in the morning.
00:15They have two mealtimes, one's in the morning at about 6 o'clock in the morning, the other
00:19before 12 noon, and then they fast the rest of the day.
00:24Then we have a small prayer in the evening, so that's on a daily basis.
00:29Since Friday is our day off in this country, there is a huge get-together on Friday mornings,
00:37where there is a small sermon, there is a worship service, and also on a Friday evening.
00:45So that's about what happens on a daily basis at the temple.
00:48We have two priests who come in from Sri Lanka, and they rotate in and out every three months.
00:52When it comes to sermons, it's directly taken from the scriptures that the Buddhists follow.
00:58It is more or less like a moral code of how to live.
01:01On Fridays, 200 to 300 people come.
01:07They come together, they eat, and they talk with the kids, especially the young people.
01:15That is my hard work.
01:17Then I check everything, because so many people are coming here.
01:23This is the temple, and we have to be peaceful and nice, and we have to learn something like that.
01:30Then I check.
01:32There are some boys, and the girls also, ladies also.
01:36They make the tea, some people make the seating area and the kitchen.
01:42I check everything, and I put everybody in the line.
01:48Sometimes we bring our big priest.
01:51We organize something in some big hall or hotel somewhere,
01:56and he prays and he talks to the people.
02:00We organize that kind of thing once a year.
02:03It's not a specific day to a month or something like that.
