00:00The question was, where is the best biryani, and we raised it to our followers, and we

00:16received like hundreds of recommendations, and we gather all these recommendations, whenever

00:22they have more than one, three, four, five recommendations for our restaurant, we went

00:26to visit and take it for ourselves.

00:28We believe that, biryani, it's the cook, who's the cook, it's not the restaurant, it's not

00:35the place, who knows how to chef, who knows how to do it, so, you see the five restaurants

00:42we choose for the final, it is in different places, in different category, even some biryani

00:50we need for 13 dirhams, other for 50, 60 dirhams, and so it's wide variety.

00:58We put points, and we choose two main criteria, the taste, and the concept of the, what they

01:13call it?

01:14The mixture.

01:15How the biryani composed together, I mean, because you have mutton rice and so, it should

01:22be come together, and this, we put 40 points, and 40 points on the others, and we put on

01:30the pricing 10 points, and presentation 10 points.

01:34From September till today, we visit 54 restaurants, recommend by our followers.

01:52We've been making this biryani right from the time we started, which was around five

02:04years ago, and right from the beginning, our biryani has always been a favorite of many

02:09of our guests, mainly because it has very home style taste that reminds you of the biryani

02:14that's made in Bombay, so what's special about the Grub Shack biryani is that all of the

02:20masalas are ground in our kitchen by our chefs from scratch, so we don't use any ready-made

02:26masalas or spices, we have all of our spices flown in from India, and then it's all cooked

02:32in our kitchen here, so the taste is very much exclusive to Grub Shack.

02:42We have the best biryani in our town from Bombay and Dubai as well, and we use, we started

02:49to serve biryani in 1952, but nothing like Jaffar Bhai, they come from Bombay, so I've

03:00eaten there as well in Mumbai, and the biryani, the quality of the meat is very nice, it's

03:07a succulent meat and the taste is different, it's a quite moist and wet biryani compared

03:44to other biryanis, this is unique biryani, from all other people, all are using the boiled

03:48muttons and everything, but this is having a very clean mutton.

04:15I've heard about this biryani restaurant, my friends, my relatives, a lot of people

04:24are present here, so they've told me that they make very good biryani, so I've come

04:29here specially to eat this biryani, it's very good, Mashallah.

04:32They make it, then I make it, then after me, my son is making it, Mashallah, this family

04:42has been going on for a long time.

04:45This is a raw mutton biryani, which we don't roast the meat, we marinate the raw meat,

04:52then we put all the spices on it and put it on the stove, we don't turn on the stove,

04:58so after adding the spices, we cook the rice and put it on it.

05:14It was amazing, when we came into this restaurant, we found that, and they're saying, they're

05:20winning in Gulf News, popular choice in 90s.

05:25I've never thought of anything like this, it's from Allah, Allah has given me a gift

05:30of Ramadan, and I try to earn my livelihood, and I try to make good food.
