00:00Buylands in Dubai and other emirates where thousands of workers live have been resonating
00:11with the vroom of luxury motorcycles.
00:16This happens on the last Friday of every month, since February, when the convoy of luxury
00:21motorbikes from Singh's Motorcycle UAE Club visits the labour camp to donate raw food
00:27supplies to the workers.
00:30The club members are motorcycle riding enthusiasts from Sikh community in the UAE and are known
00:36as Turbinator Riders since they wear turbans.
00:41They begin the charity drive to deliver food supplies to workers in labour accommodations
00:45as part of the Year of Giving initiative in the UAE.
00:48What we have done is we have combined charity and hobby together and brotherhood as well
00:54because it's the year of giving.
00:56We have understood the problems and the challenges that these labour camps have.
01:00So the best thing to give is to the community and especially where it's really required.
01:04It was a very good opportunity for the Sikh community just to come up with that spirit
01:11openly and supporting the labourers.
01:13Considering the fact that labourers may have challenges in meeting their expenses before
01:18they get their salaries by the end of the month, the day of donation was chosen as the
01:23last Friday of every month.
01:25Female workers are also among the 11,000 workers who have so far benefited from the
01:31charity drive by the Sikh riders, the last leg of which was on Friday.
