00:00When we talk about Al-Wasl, we're talking about not just another public area in Dubai.

00:21Al-Wasl comprises of different components.
00:25First the horizontal component, which will be the main event space and the main arrival
00:31welcoming area for the people coming through the metro gate.
00:35The horizontal space will be designed carefully to ensure a very comfortable environment to
00:40the visitors and participants from all over the world.
00:44We're looking at having the landscape designed through our local environment, so the plantations
00:51will be a showcase for our local environment.
00:53The water features, the soundscape, the scents, the smells of the area, it will be more of
01:01a focused experience on the five senses to everybody.
01:05The other major component on Al-Wasl, which is the trellis, and we call it the trellis
01:10because it allows air through it.
01:13So the trellis design is a structure that will provide shading for the area and also
01:20to work as a huge projection screen that will also create the immersive experience
01:26for the visitors from the 360 degrees perspectives.
01:32For Al-Wasl Plaza we are in a very advanced stage in the design.
01:36Our plan is to start the construction in the third quarter this year for Al-Wasl Plaza
01:42and the completion date for that one will be October 2019.
01:47The Al-Wasl Plaza was built for legacy.
01:50It will create a huge real estate value for the surroundings and for the assets that we
01:57are building right now for the Expo.
01:58As you know, we are building legacy.
02:00It will become a touristic destination and at the same time it is one major component
02:07of the bigger picture of Dubai South.
02:09So it will be the future hub for the major events in UAE.
