00:11and saw American contestant Huzaifa Siddiqui take home the prestigious Beautiful Voice
00:15contest, outperforming nine other contestants from around the world to grab the top prize.
00:19The 20-year-old U.S. national, who won third place at the Toronto Quran Competition last
00:23year, left the audience mesmerized with his soothing rendition from the passages of the
00:27Quran. His crisp voice and amazing modulation, as well as great command over the rules of
00:32recitation, gave him a narrow lead over the others who also performed at a high standard.
00:36Siddiqui, who performed the previous Friday as part of the main competition, is also among
00:40the top contenders for the overall prize.
