00:20Also known as EC3, the Enterprise Command and Control Center is a unified platform that
00:25controls different modes of transport, ushering in a new phase of smart transportation systems
00:30in Dubai.
00:31In a first in the Middle East, the center helps control, integrate and coordinate various
00:36transit modes.
00:37It has a very advanced and very open system.
00:40When we call open system, the system can connect and things can be added to it very easily
00:49as we go into the future because this is not one of these centers that you build and then
00:56after a year you need to make changes.
00:58So this is a center that has the capability to live for a long time.
01:02Built at a cost of 335 million dirhams, the center enables real-time emergency response
01:08as well as advanced planning of mega events.
01:12The staff at the center can identify and connect with any public transport vehicle and access
01:17real-time information about the status of any transport mode.
01:21The systems that we have, the platform that we have here is basically a very advanced
01:26platform.
01:27Today we are connected to 34 systems that are providing information and data to us.
01:33We are collecting about 55 million records in a day.
01:38So with all this data, the system has the capability to do analysis and we have expertise
01:45and specialists and data working for RTA, our employees, that will be using this data
01:52to do the analysis and then to provide the right information to the decision makers.
01:59So then the decision makers based on that they can make decisions on how things should
02:04be run and how things should be done.
02:06The platform is also capable of supporting advanced future transport systems like Hyperloop,
02:11autonomous vehicles and automated aerial vehicles.
02:14The EC3 will also help ease congestions on roads.
