00:00He's a great star, so this is to start with, but not all great stars are born equal.
00:16There are a lot of great stars in this world, coming from different communities, different
00:21ethnicities, but when we thought about our OFWs, the only name that came to our mind
00:28was John Lloyd, because of the similarities that his career has with our own company.
00:34Whether being a star and us being a leader in the industry that we run, but at the same
00:39time, him being very resilient in the career that he has had so far.
00:46I have this advocacy about films, to make it global, and I have that with ABS-CBN.
00:59Of course, ABS-CBN is also a global brand, but Western Union can definitely help me in
01:08promoting, or if I'm doing maybe a film right now, and I want it to reach my fans all over
01:16the world, and I think they can be some kind of instrumental about that desire of mine.
01:23I understand that there's a big pressure when you get into a deal of endorsements,
01:36but let me tell you, what I'm learning now, this I would not learn if I did not welcome
01:47the opportunity to meet these people, to meet this brand, and to be part of their family.
01:53I'm really learning a lot, and I cannot wait to apply it in my own personal career.
02:01You just have to be sincere with what you do.
02:04Of course, my top priority is films, because that's my first love.
02:11If you understand films as a form of what I do, you can understand that in any performance
02:23that I give, I try to keep it sincere, and it's very simple to me.
02:33You go out there, you step out of your house.
02:37Some people think of it like, once you step out of your house, you start working.
02:42That may be true, but with me, that's not going to work for me.
02:50The moment I step out of my house, I'm still myself.
02:56I keep it real.
02:59I'm in love with cinema.
03:01Cinema as a whole.
03:03Cinema not being divided as independent or mainstream.
03:08Cinema is just cinema, whether it gains massive success or not.
03:16I just love cinema, and I think I'll die doing cinema.
03:23Maybe not limit myself just to be part of it.
03:26Maybe producing is something I like better than directing,
03:31because I think that in producing, you are given absolute freedom.
03:37Maybe I want to do something that will uplift the spirits of the Filipinos,
03:44the Arkababayans outside the Philippines.
03:47This is a good time.
03:49I think this is a good time to create a film for them.
03:53That will showcase their desires, their passions, their struggles, their hardships.
04:03I know that I did Dubai in 2005.
04:09I know that I did Dubai in 2005.
04:14Maybe we can do something again.
04:20It's not exactly like Dubai, but there are a lot of beautiful stories to be told.
