00:11Daesh terrorists have destroyed Palmyra's ancient temple of Balchamin. Daesh took control

00:16of Palmyra in May, sparking fears that the group may demolish UNESCO World Heritage Site.

00:22The group has also destroyed several ancient sites in Iraq. Lebanese protesters said that

00:26they had postponed a demonstration set for tonight, after rallies a day earlier triggered

00:31clashes with security forces in Beirut.

00:34On Sunday, Prime Minister Tamim Salem threatened to resign, warning rival parties in his unity

00:39cabinet that the state faced collapse because of paralysis that had come to a head with

00:44its failure to resolve a crisis over rubbish disposal.

00:48German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Francois Hollande will meet in Berlin

00:53to give a new push to European efforts to tackle the biggest migrant crisis in 50 years.

00:59The pair will also hold talks on the resurgence of violence in Ukraine, and will be joined

01:03by that country's President Petro Poroshenko later in the day.

01:07Six people, including a Congress lawmaker from Karnataka, India, were killed when a

01:11truck collided with an express train at a level crossing near Penukonda in Andhra Pradesh.

01:17The driver of the granite-laden truck lost control and hit a coach of the Nandan Express

01:23after crashing into the closed gate at a level crossing in the Nandanpur district.
