00:00When Nikhil narrated this film to me, I sat in the narration thinking that I would avoid
00:20this film because this is a hero and heroine both playing equal parts and I was trying
00:26to focus on films that are female centred films and female protagonist films.
00:33But I think within 10 minutes into the story and I was imagining myself in the character
00:39and I think that's the most important part that you don't really, you don't really, you
00:47don't have time to judge or you know really have rational stuff going in your mind as
00:54in what are the pointers, do's and don'ts into going into it.
00:59You just spontaneously say yes and you just slip into it organically.
01:04When Nikhil at first sent me the script, I read it and I think there was something in
01:08the tone that I didn't catch and I didn't like it at all and I called him up and said
01:13Nikhil, you know I really, really don't like this script at all.
01:16He came and he started narrating and suddenly I'm like 20 minutes into the narration and
01:19I'm sitting and I'm like is this the same script?
01:22Because suddenly I'm really interested, suddenly I'm hooked.
01:25He's reached interval and I'm sold and it was just remarkable to me how I could miss
01:33the tone of it so much.
01:35I was seeing it in a completely different light and the way he narrated it, yeah, something
01:40in the treatment.
01:45I think pressure and I would take the liberty of speaking about Kangana as well, I think
01:49pressure is always self-inflicted.
01:51It's because you want to be better, you want to work harder.
01:54Which is not necessarily a bad thing, right?
01:56Which is a good thing.
01:57Which is a good thing and you need to have something in your life which can drive you
02:00and I know maybe in a few years I'm 28 and maybe after 10 years I wouldn't want to work
02:0816 hours a day or maybe 22 hours a day.
02:15So you know this is the time when you want to do and give your best and you do that,
02:21so I'm working incessantly.
02:23I'm working on these really hard, very very hard difficult characters and I want to do
02:30as much as I can.
02:34It will be very fulfilling for people who like beautiful love story and again it will
02:42be very fulfilling for people who look for something very niche, very intellectual, something,
02:46some message that they get after a film and then they can live with that message and so
02:51it's a beautiful film which says something very important.
02:54It's not about two confused youngsters who don't know if they love themselves or they
03:00love their friends or they don't love anyone, it's not about that.
03:04It's about finding a beautiful meaning to one's life and just evolving as humans.
03:12I've never liked the idea of restricting myself or even being restricted to this type of film,
03:20that genre.
03:22I guess creatively I'm greedy, I want to make films that I love, that I'm very very proud
03:27of, films that are quality films and films that are massively commercially successful.
03:31I really do want it all.
03:34I really do.
