00:09the top stories at this hour. Croatia found itself dragged in Europe's refugee crisis
00:15as dozens walked through fields across Serbia's border with its western neighbor, rerouted
00:21by bus after Hungary locked down its own frontier with Serbia. At least 100 refugees walked
00:26through cornfields into European Union member Croatia, most having arrived by bus from Serbia's
00:33southern border with Macedonia to the western town of Sid on the Croatian border. Others
00:38pulled up in taxis. Flash floods have killed 12 people near Utah's border with Arizona
00:44when a large wall of water and debris, triggered by heavy rain pounding nearby canyons, swept
00:50them away in their cars. In the small city of Hildale, Utah, hundreds of volunteers were
00:56helping search for one person till missing after flood waters swept through streets.
01:01Things are getting serious for the first 10-day Dubai Comedy Festival, with organizers adding
01:06three more names to the star-studded lineup. American stand-up and comedy central favorite
01:11Hannibal Buress as well and rising comedian Jared Carmichael will join international funnyman
01:17Dave Chappelle and new host of the daily show Trevor Noah in what organizers are already
01:22calling the region's largest comedy festival. Dubai-based comedian Nitin Mirani will also
01:28headline an Indian Comics Night, to be held from October 15 to 24. Tickets are now on
01:34sale for different categories. A purpose-built 4,500-seat venue at Skydive Dubai will be
01:41the stage for two main gig weekends. Cristiano Ronaldo moved in front of Lionel Messi as
01:48the top goalscorer in Champions League history with a hat-trick as Real Madrid opened their
01:53European campaign with a 4-0 win over 10-man Shakhtar Donetsk last night. Manchester United
02:00saw their Champions League return turn into a nightmare as they not only fell 2-1 against
02:05PSV Eindhoven but also lost full-back Luke Shaw with a double fracture of the leg. And
02:13finally, the weather. Today's high across the UAE will be 40 degrees Celsius, dropping
