00:14to a battery could revolutionize the way people light their homes, according to its UAE-based
00:19inventor.
00:20The Wonder Bulb is an energy-saving light bulb that lights up by simply putting its
00:24base in your mouth or in a cup of water.
00:27The highly efficient 9-watts flamber, made of 18 LEDs with a total output of 900 lumina,
00:33will be sold for 69 dirhams apiece in supermarkets across the UAE.
00:38The bulb can run without being recharged for up to 25 hours.
00:41The bulb basically is just like any normal LED bulb.
00:45You fit it into a normal socket.
00:47It is universally accepted, whether it's a pin type or a screw type.
00:50We give the adapter along with it.
00:52So you plug it into a normal socket and work it as a normal LED bulb.
00:56So when you have power, it turns on, turns off with a normal wall switch.
01:00The moment the power goes off, the automatic circuit kicks in and the bulb works as if
01:06there was no power cut.
01:08So whether you have a power cut or not, the bulb stays on.
01:11This new device lights up when in contact with moisture.
01:14Dr. Inasso says it could greatly benefit households in rural Africa and India, and even revolutionize
01:20relief work in disaster zones.
