00:00Let's begin in the standing position, throughout the practice today, we will try and set out

00:16the intention of this International Yoga Day to bring peace and harmony not only to ourselves,

00:25but to everyone around us and the entire world.

00:29Around 16,000 Dubai residents gathered at the Al-Wasl Club on Sunday evening to celebrate

00:34the inaugural World Yoga Day.

00:36The Indian Consulate in Dubai hosted a free yoga gathering with Indian Olympic medalist

00:41boxer Mary Kom and Major General Nasir Al Sayyid Abdul Razzaq Al Razzouki, President

00:47of the UAE Karate and Taekwondo Federation and a member of the UAE National Olympic Committee.

00:53More than 170 countries including the UAE, the US, Canada, China and Saudi Arabia have

00:59signed up to commemorate the day.

01:02Yoga International Day is a very good awareness about people, which is good to maintain our

01:09health and release our stress and we get very benefited through this program.

01:14Actually we shifted here last two months, oh yeah, it's our first event in Dubai, it's

01:21amazing.

01:22Thank you Dubai.

01:23We are feeling great because we are part of Ayurveda, we are from Out of Living Ayurveda

01:27Center and we find it really great that Ayurveda is spreading through the whole world.

01:31So we request all the people who are not yet into this to come forward again and join this

01:37because it's not related to anything particular, this is only for your health and you can feel

01:42extremely relaxed once you practice yoga.

01:45I am really glad to see how Dubai is promoting this great event here and I am really grateful

01:53to Narendra Modi who has made this initiative.

01:56Yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual practice that dates back to ancient times, but has

02:01only been widely adopted in the West in the past 50 years.

02:05World Yoga Day falls on June 21 as declared by the United Nations General Assembly on

02:10December 11, 2014.

02:12The international celebration was suggested by Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India

02:17where yoga originated 2,000 years ago.
