00:00Music can change moods and if you find someone, let's put it on a smaller scale, but if you
00:14find you have a quarrel with your neighbor and you find out that you enjoy the same music,
00:19it changes moods and you find a common ground and I think that's a very good avenue for
00:24peace.
00:25Even now, even to different Muslim countries and they are so peaceful and so I think it
00:33bridges gaps and it changes moods so that's a very powerful thing.
00:40I think musicians have always been able to actually somewhat pacify or at least we actually
00:46aid in helping people deal with their emotions.
00:51Aside from that, well of course there's also social media and as much as possible, I've
00:58tried not to make a lot of comments about it because I'm trying to not be negative at
01:04all in any way because you're going to hear a lot of criticism from both ends so I'm trying
01:11to actually just kind of be as neutral as I can about it.
01:15We don't know how actually, but maybe to ease the tension and the pain, we just sing
01:27for them because truthfully we don't know how to lend a hand to those who are affected.
01:35I've lent my music to countless causes.
01:42I think it's the least I could do to help.
01:47I'm just a musician, but if my music can help in any way, United Nations, Millennium Development
01:57Goals, Department of Tourism, Ondoy, Yolanda, if my music can help, I share it, I lend it.
02:07For me, when there are doubts about things that you don't understand, things that you
02:14can't fathom that really happen, I always say choose love, let love be your guide.
02:19I mean, when things start to not make sense, when things don't make sense, when they're
02:25just too complicated, just go back to the basics.
02:27Choose love.
02:28Things that are happening now in the country, people are getting even madder.
02:33What does that really contribute?
02:37You have to kind of take a step back and be proactive and find a solution, a peaceful
02:43solution so for me, if love is your guide, you can't go wrong.
