Boro “re-energised” by new recruits says Carrick

Middlesbrough Head Coach Michael Carrick has made clear that his squad have been given new energy by the arrival of new signings at the club, who he added have all settled in well.

00:10Yeah, it's been a great opportunity. I think we've certainly tried to make the most of

00:14it as you'd expect but the boys have settled in fantastically well actually, really quickly

00:21and there's a good feeling amongst the group. I think there's certainly a feeling of a freshness

00:26and re-energised in some ways but it doesn't feel new which is important I think because

00:33it can be easily something you're conscious of with certain changes that it can feel quite

00:41new and it hasn't felt like that. The boys have settled in great and fitted in and we've

00:46trained really well, trained hard, trained well and yeah we feel we're in a good place.

00:51I think we've come out of the window in good shape and I'm happy with what we've got now

00:57and we've got to keep building now.
