00:00We're here on the outskirts of Beda.

00:07This whole area was a palace that belonged to the Gaddafi family.

00:13Over the hill here was the summer residence of his wife and this whole area was used by

00:19SAFE.

00:20This is the first day that locals have been in here and Gulf News is here.

00:24Behind me you can see tennis courts, basketball, indoor soccer.

00:30Children are playing here for the first time, they've never seen this before.

00:35We're about to go inside one of SAFE's homes, it has a swimming pool I'm told and beneath

00:42it apparently there's 3km of bunkers.

00:46So this is our first look and a lot of these people's first look at the secret life of

00:51the Gaddafis.

00:53This place has been liberated by locals, there's still a smell of smoke, we can smell it in

00:58the air and we'll try and go inside, bring you inside.

01:03This is SAFE's summer home, SAFE Gaddafi's summer home.

01:07Where I'm standing is the back entrance to SAFE's secret bunker.

01:14Down below there are rooms, a generator, mechanical rooms, bedrooms, kitchens.

01:21You can see just at my foot here there's a DVD case, somebody was working out to Tanturi

01:32the motor.

01:34Looks like the Gaddafis have moored it out of here for now.

01:38After all of this excitement, rooting around in SAFE's tunnels, there's only one thing

01:44to do, let's go up to the pool.

01:48I'm tired, I've been on the road for 3 days, I haven't had a shower.

01:53I think there's only one thing to do and that's strip off and jump in, into the Gaddafi's

01:58pool.

01:59How cold is that?
