00:08Some places in Sor Sugon were flooded due to the continuous rainfall effected by the Shear 9.

00:14In Barangay Ponoon, motorists were not able to cross a road due to the heavy rainfall in August.

00:21According to Radio Pilipinas, it was difficult to travel due to the rapid rise in the water level.

00:28Residents in the area continued to be careful.

00:31Motorists were instructed to avoid the road.

00:38The Commission on Elections again reminded not to start the campaign period tomorrow.

00:43According to Cabinet Chair George Erwin Garcia,

00:46campaign posters or paraphernalia can only be placed in designated common poster areas.

00:53It is strictly prohibited to place them in trees, footbridge, electric poles, and other public places.

01:01According to Comelec, it is possible to damage the posters.

01:05Erwin Garcia also reminded not to remove the campaign materials

01:09that are placed in places that are considered private.

01:15The target of the Department of Labor and Employment is to reduce the number of unemployed in the country.

01:21This was followed by the 3.1 percent unemployment rate in December.

01:27In a press briefing in Malacanang, Labor Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma said

01:32that the government's programs to address job mismatch,

01:37increase job fairs, and improve quality of work are ongoing.

01:41The government is committed not only to temporary jobs,

01:46but also to long-term opportunities for our countrymen.

01:52What I want to see in the current administration is long-term jobs, sustainable,

01:59and we can say that the benefits are remunerative,

02:03even if it is not equivalent to the benefits of our countrymen working abroad.

02:09At least, it will give them an option to stay here with their families.
