00:02Today morning we did the Polkata Police's Safe Drive, Safe Life Marathon,

00:0821 km, 10 km, 5 km.

00:11We did this today.

00:13Our participants, who are our brand ambassadors,

00:17they and our team,

00:22our team in the traffic of Polkata Police,

00:26the transport department,

00:29various other organizations.

00:31The main objective is that

00:34we have started the Safe Drive, Safe Life Marathon

00:37since 2016.

00:42In the whole of India,

00:44the best result of this program has been in West Bengal.

00:47Not just in one day,

00:50but throughout the year,

00:53the stakeholders who use the road,

00:58pedestrians, two-wheeler drivers,

01:01four-wheelers, passengers,

01:03cars, goods vehicles,

01:06everyone understands that

01:09everyone has an equal right on the road,

01:12and they keep themselves safe,

01:14plus those who drive in front,

01:16other people, other road users,

01:18they keep themselves safe.

01:20This is the main objective.

01:22Not just in one day,

01:24but throughout the year.

01:26Last year, we saw that

01:28there were 191 deaths.

01:30Many years ago,

01:32when I was in DC traffic,

01:35we had a casualty rate of 400+,

01:38a fatal rate.

01:40Now, we have reduced it to 200,

01:42but there is another scope.

01:44Each and every life has a price,

01:48and it is valuable.

01:50We have to save everyone.

01:52We have to save everyone,

01:54not just the police.

01:56Everyone has to work together.

01:58This is the message I want to convey today.

02:06Basically, physical fitness is important.

02:10Mental fitness is also important.

02:12Your head will be healthy.

02:14If your head is healthy,

02:16you will be able to keep yourself safe.
