00:00Ooh, that dude's angry. Where's Danny?
00:02Ah!
00:03Beyoncé gonna be there. It's going down.
00:05Good to see you both again. Very excited for this.
00:08I'm really happy for you, Mackie.
00:09Thank you so much.
00:10Really happy.
00:11Thank you so much. I'm alright.
00:14Danny, what has Mackie been like?
00:16I know you're not new to the MCU because obviously you did Falcon and Winter Soldier,
00:20but you are kind of stepping into the Falcon role.
00:23Mackie likes to, you know, he picks on our Tom Holland quite a bit.
00:27So what's he been like with you? Does he give you a hard time?
00:29That's how he got cast. They're the same size. So I was like,
00:32Are we?
00:33Yeah. Five, seven. Yeah.
00:35Whoa.
00:38My license says five numbers. That's my official height.
00:42He's been incredibly supportive. I think it was,
00:45the blessing was that I got to experience what he was experiencing in a different way.
00:51So I was taking the role of Falcon. He's obviously taking the mantle of Captain America.
00:56So I just got to, for both Danny and Joaquin, just observe Anthony and Sam.
01:02And from day one on set, I was like, Oh, this is the job.
01:04I just got to show up and watch him as he goes and moves through this because Joaquin
01:10would then try to emulate that in his own way as with Danny.
01:14And so it honestly made the job a lot of fun.
01:19He's being modest.
01:21He would show up to set and all you would see was like that little poof of hair.
01:25He'd be like, Where's Danny?
01:29A lot of toys on set.
01:31A lot of toys on set.
01:32Just touching stuff.
01:33Don't breathe.
01:35I would be the same. Don't worry.
01:37What is this cable connected to?
01:38I didn't find out.
01:40Mackie, you haven't had the super serum in this one, right?
01:44So technically, it makes your Captain America a better fighter than the previous, right?
01:49Well, I'm just a regular guy who fell into a great situation, right?
01:54So when you look at Sam Wilson as opposed to Steve Rogers not having the serum,
01:59he has to put things in perspective.
02:02Brute force cannot be his first option.
02:05And being a humanitarian, being a counselor, being just a decent human being,
02:10he uses force as his last resort because he can be destroyed.
02:17But he's more of a thinker than he is a fighter.
02:22I still think he's a better fighter.
02:24Oh, yeah.
02:25You can get it.
02:26Absolutely.
02:27I do have to ask, though.
02:28I know you've got the lovely Danny with you now.
02:31But are you missing Sebastian?
02:33Because one of my favorite things of awards season has been you popping up during every one of his interviews.
02:40I've watched them all.
02:41I'll tell you this.
02:42I'm written for the Oscars.
02:44My boy got nominated.
02:45I'm written a sprinter.
02:46I don't know.
02:48I might get, I don't know.
02:49I don't know.
02:50I might throw a concert.
02:51I don't know what I'm going to do.
02:53But it's going down.
02:54But this is going to be the illest Oscars you've ever seen in your life.
02:57And if he wins.
02:58You're going to be there.
02:59Oh, boy.
03:00You're going to be on stage.
03:01It's going to be like Beyonce going to be there.
03:02It's going down.
03:04And I've got to ask you.
03:05You're working with the legend that is Harrison Ford.
03:08That man is incredible.
03:10What's it been like for you?
03:11Dream come true?
03:12Because we've grown up with that guy, right?
03:13It's everything I thought it would be.
03:15I'm surprised.
03:17I was surprised at how easygoing and nice he is.
03:21You think Harrison Ford, because he talks like this.
03:24It's like, ooh, that dude's angry.
03:26But no.
03:27He showed up to set and he was just a team player.
03:30He was one of the dudes.
03:32One of my favorite memories is the first time that he was going to be on set with us.
03:37And we were shooting at the White House.
03:39I can say that, right?
03:40I mean, you said it.
03:41I said it.
03:42It's in the trailer.
03:43It's in the trailer.
03:44It's in the cast chair.
03:45It's Shira, Carl, Anthony, myself, Sosha.
03:48And we're there in like a little semi-circle.
03:51And Harrison was tucked away somewhere.
03:53And just seeing Harrison drag his own chair and plop it down and just sit down and talk with us.
03:59I think from that first moment, it just gave us permission to be ourselves.
04:03Because we're like, all right, he's going to throw down with us.
04:05He's going to crack a joke at us to see if we've got some sauce and we can throw it back.
04:09And, yeah, it was to me that changed my perspective on what it was going to be like on set.
04:15And the quintessential Danny moment.
04:17I'm on set talking to Julius.
04:19Yeah!
04:20Danny comes running over.
04:22And I'm like, what's up?
04:23He goes, dude, Harrison Ford is eating peanut butter and jelly.
04:27Oh, Danny.
04:30That's so cute.
04:32It's a very common thing, Danny.
04:34It's Harrison Ford.
04:35Like, all right, OK.
04:36I had to hit a peanut butter alley.
04:38He's allergic to peanut butter.
04:40And he moved his own chair.
04:42The guy is just like us.
04:44Too much.
04:45He could have moved it anywhere.
04:46Unheard of.
04:47He could have moved it anywhere.
04:48Usually they'll move away from you.
04:50Well, I'm going to have to move away from you guys now.
04:52My time is up.
04:53But it's a joy to see you.
04:55I really hope this does well.
04:56Definitely.
04:57I've been rooting for you, Mackie.
04:58I'm glad to see you get your flowers.
04:59I appreciate it.
05:00Thank you so much.
05:01It's good to see you.
05:02Good to see you.
