Sunderland’s Régis Le Bris sensing Championship opportunity

Sunderland Head Coach Régis Le Bris has outlined that the opportunity is there for his side in the promotion race in the Championship. Daniel Wales reports.

00:46season. Yes it's very important and I think this event shows that there

00:55were no panic in their mind and it shows that they are confident with

01:02the way they can play, the way they can change the dynamic and even away at

01:09Middlesbrough they were confident because we knew that we are good to

01:15solve problems in real time. Maybe it should be better to start a little bit

01:20early because we can avoid maybe some early goals. The next step for Sunderland

01:26is to face fewer setbacks. Despite winning at Borough, the home side

01:30dominated the opening stages, something which Celebrese identified. Yeah we spoke

01:37a lot about the late stage of the game so I think we are good at Middlesbrough

01:50action and Luke saved the situation but I think we were very good during

01:57this last 10 minutes and but now the question was the first 10 minutes so

02:10think Middlesbrough played a very good football during the first half it's

02:15difficult to face with it and sometimes you don't have the ball you can become a

02:19little bit impatient. The facts however are simple Sunderland are just three

02:24points away from the automatic promotion places and Lebris is sensing an

02:28opportunity. Yeah sure I think all the players are ambitious and they know what

02:37they want to do in that league but at the same time as a manager and as a

02:41coach my only focus is to win the next game and they know that so after that

02:47we'll see in 16 games where we are but at the same time we know we have good

02:54qualities we are competitive in that league so keep pushing and we'll see at

02:58the end
