00:51According to the Department of Agriculture, lowering the MSRP is important to reduce food price inflation,

00:57particularly in basic commodities such as rice.

01:00The DA plans to lower the MSRP next week, according to the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.,

01:08to make the price of rice for food security affordable for the public.

01:12It will be lowered by February 5 to P55, by February 15 to P52,

01:18and by March 1, the highest price of imported rice in the market should be P49.

01:25Aside from this, the rice for all program is also available by the President in some public markets and train stations,
