00:00There are some very nice digital platforms concerning the most important figures of musical
00:09work like Johann Sebastian Bach or Mozart or Beethoven, but I think our database is
00:14the biggest digital base concerning just one composer, Friedrich Chopin, in the digital
00:19world for now.
00:22Those are the materials, just a small part of our collections.
00:26We have a great collection of photographs of Chopin's letters and Chopin's music, but
00:31we also have medals with Chopin's image on them.
00:34We also had to digitize those kind of materials and to describe them, to make them researchable.
00:42And probably the most important things, most important resources from our library are the
00:48musical prints and those are actually the first editions of Chopin's music.
00:53This one is the opus 46, which was published in 1831 and it was published in Germany.
01:02And here we have the whole collection of French prints, also from early 40s of the 19th century.
01:09So this is just one volume from our collection of Revues et Gazettes Musicales.
01:16This is the volume from, I think, 1846 and it presents all the important events that
01:25were happening in Paris at that time, so artistic life, musical life of Paris.
01:31We have 60 volumes of those papers and this is the biggest collection of these titles
01:37in the world.
