Bristol Rovers need to show toughness with visit of Peterborough

00:17League One throughout the years and it doesn't seem to go Bristol Rovers' way. Last time

00:23they met at Bristol Rovers was 2-0 to the away side. Obviously, Posh had been on a fantastic

00:29run at times, sort of stagnated a bit in League One. Just one point and one play separates

00:36them. Again, it's a huge tie that Bristol Rovers should be looking at. Things can change

00:41so quickly in the EFL. Two results, two poor performances. It's not always a case of slipping

00:50down the table, but complete confidence can go and doubt can start to settle in. Before

00:56you know it, you've got five games left and you really need to win all five to avoid

01:00the drop zone. These fixtures, this time now needs to be really prioritised by Calderon's

01:08side and especially home fixtures as well. How do you view them going into this game

01:13and making sure that they are back with a win and making sure it's a fantastic home

01:20result as well?

01:21I think they just owe it to the fans, to be honest, after that performance against Wigan

01:25to go out there and show them what they're all about. As you say, it's a similar game

01:30to the Wigan game because it's another team who are sat in and around them in the table.

01:36You just hope that they do get themselves up for it and they don't just think, ah, we'll

01:39just turn up because that won't get you anywhere. Not when you're scrapping for a location,

01:43not if you're even in the Premier League fighting for Europe. It won't get you anywhere. You

01:46cannot just turn up expecting to win like they did against Wigan. It's a game where

01:53Peterborough may know they're obviously disadvantaged because they're going away from home, but

01:58I highly doubt they're just going to turn up and just think, you know, we'll just see

02:03how today goes. No, they'll want it. Of course they will. They'll want to survive relegation

02:07just as much as Bristol Rovers do. No one wants to go down to League 2, especially not

02:12Bristol Rovers who have tasted that recently, of course, as well. They've been in League

02:162 and they definitely don't want to have to go back down there after all the hard work

02:19they did coming back up to League 1. So no, it's a game where they have to just show the

02:25sort of performance they showed against Barnsley, beating a playoff contender by three goals

02:30to one. Because if they show that against teams in and around them, they'll win. It's

02:35really not that difficult. It's just a case of where if they don't, they'll get punished

02:40because of course, in any sort of, you know, standard of football, if you don't put the

02:44effort in, you will get punished for it. And that's what happened against Wigan. They are

02:48at home, of course, on this occasion so that they do have that advantage. And I think they

02:51need to use that to their ability because that's what got them over the line partially

02:55against Barnsley.
