Easterby explains Prendergast fly-half decision

Ireland coach Simon Easterby gave his reasons as to why he feels Sam Prendergast is the first choice fly-half

00:00It's been a very difficult decision to pick a 15 as well as a 23, partly based on the

00:07fact that there's been a couple of really good performances in Europe leading into this

00:14Six Nations and I think that's probably been a little bit different to November when we

00:20didn't have those competitive games to come into and I think all the players have come

00:24in in good form and they've made it really difficult for us to make those decisions.

00:30Sam ahead of Jack, you know what, those two are going to play a lot of rugby and they're

00:35going to compete with each other along with a few other players, Kieran Frawley also in

00:39the squad, they're going to play a lot of rugby and compete for a long time together

00:44I think.

00:47This decision has gone Sam's way, we felt like he did really well in November, he got

00:54a taste for international rugby, he went away and played really well for Leinster.
