Wembanyama rejects Davis' claim about Defensive Player of the Year

00:04So it's not something I'm going to worry about.

00:08If I end up being Defensive Player of the Year,

00:10it means I've helped my team on that side of the court.

00:14And it means I've done my best.

00:17And I've been rewarded for it.

00:20But at the end of the day, the best reward is the wins.

00:22So even though it feels unfair, it's never something I'm good.

00:27I mean, all these things, I'm not going to use excuses for it.

00:32If you ask me about it, I'm going to be honest, of course.

00:36I'm not going to say, oh, yeah, it was perfect.

00:41But it's never, as I said, I'm a player.

00:45I'm never going to use anything as an excuse.

00:48And I'm always going to try and be the better man
