02:29which goes against a culture of movement on the one hand and a culture of prevention,

02:34which improves all its indicators, which also improves the financial ones, but above all the social ones.

02:41The President of the Institute for Sport and Cultural Credit, Beniamino Quintieri,

02:45spoke about the social and economic benefits of the Italian sporting system.

02:50This year's report confirms the importance of sport,

02:54not only from the direct point of view of the sector, but also for its consequences on the economy,

03:00on society and also on health.

03:03And above all it highlights how, after difficult years,

03:07especially for the sector linked to the pandemic, to the energy crisis,

03:12to the increase in raw materials and to the increase in financial costs,

03:16there has been a strong recovery and in fact the contribution of sport to GDP

03:22has increased by a double rate compared to the rest of the economy.

03:27Sustainable palm oil combines technological innovation,

03:30quality, food security, environmental and social sustainability.

03:51organized by ASSITOL and the Italian Union for Sustainable Palm Oil.

03:56In the world you can find sustainable palm oil that grows in undeforested areas,

04:02so saying that deforested palm oil is currently destroying is a mistake.

04:07Another false myth is the issue of the safety of palm oil.

04:11There is legislation, for example, on the 3M CPD and on the EGE,

04:15made by the European Community, and there are limits,

04:18so the palm oil that is circulating must respect these parameters.

04:24Fake news, aggressive claims, as also explained by the food expert

04:28Giorgio Antonio Donegani, who has flooded the advertisements

04:32in the last ten years, not supported by scientific data.

04:36Since palm oil does not pose health risks,

04:39it avoids the use of hydrogenated fats,

04:42it resists oxidation processes very well and improves the shelf life of products,

04:47also limiting waste.

04:50One of the consequences of this demonization,

04:52which has led to a very strong decrease in the use of palm oil,

04:57is precisely in terms of the shorter life of the products,

05:03in terms of lower quality, without any nutritional gain,

05:07nor from the point of view of safety.

05:10Another important feature is that of the yield,

05:12much higher than other oil cultures.

05:15On a planet that will soon reach 10 billion inhabitants,

05:19thanks to its yield of almost 4 tons per hectare,

05:22sustainable palm oil can prevent undeforested areas from increasing.
