00:00The Commission on Elections may ask for P2.5 billion in additional funds from the government

00:07in case the BARMM parliamentary elections are postponed in May and this will be done in October this year.

00:14According to Commileague Chairman George Erwin Garcia,

00:17if special elections will be held, the parliamentary elections in October will require a new bidding

00:24because the votes in BARMM will still be automated.

00:28Aside from this, they will have to pay an additional P2,000 for the teachers

00:34and they will have to print P2.3 million for the parliamentary elections.

00:40Commileague assured that if the postponement of the parliamentary elections is already in the law,

00:46they are ready to participate in this,

00:48especially since President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. certified this bill as an urgent bill in the Senate.

00:57If there will be a separate bank for the parliamentary elections,

01:01we came up only with P2.5 billion pesos.

01:04We are asking for an additional budget from the government.
