00:00Among Jains, you have heard of Digambars.

00:03I would say it is a mistake to think that you can become a Digambar

00:06just by giving up clothes.

00:08Dig is the sky.

00:09When you are nothing except the sky,

00:14when there is nothing sheathing or covering your inner sky,

00:18only then you are Digambar.

00:20Otherwise, you are not.

00:21It requires one to achieve the consciousness of a Krishna,

00:25a Buddha, a Mahavir to really get naked.

00:28Nakedness is not the body of a Mahavir.

00:31Nakedness is the consciousness of a Mahavir.

00:34But because we are body-centric people,

00:36we look at his body and we think,

00:37Oh, because the man is sitting without clothes, hence he is naked.

00:41Yes, obviously he is naked, but not because he is without clothes.

00:44He is naked because he is without Maya.

00:48Maya is your Avarana.

00:50Maya is your Kosh.

00:52Maya is your cage.

00:54To be naked is to be out of the cage.
