00:00I do not like those who think of the past of India as just junk.

00:05There is stuff in the past that you must immensely respect.

00:09We are talking of the Gita, we are talking of the Upanishads,

00:12we are talking of our great philosophers and mathematicians and scientists.

00:16Why must we not be proud of them?

00:18I'm proud of a Karnav, an Ashtavakra, a Kapil, a Kanad.

00:23Obviously, all the Rishis of the Upanishads.

00:25They are the ones I'm proud of.

00:27I'm proud of Sushruta.

00:28I'm proud of Aryabhatta.

00:29They are the ones I'm really proud of.

00:31There is a lot in our past we can justifiably be proud of.

00:34And I've just thrown a few names at you.

00:37There are dozens of such great names, but they are not valued.
