NBA Commissioner Adam Silver revealed that he is in conversations over starting a new league in Europe.

00:00We've been partners in the past with the EuroLeague and are close with many of their clubs and

00:07are appreciative of the effort that's gone into growing basketball

00:11throughout Europe. I'd say from the NBA standpoint

00:14we continue to explore what opportunities may exist to help continue to develop the basketball

00:21infrastructure here. We have, in the past I've talked about our

00:27exploration of a potential league here. I'd say to the extent we're looking at that opportunity

00:32it would just be one piece of a larger approach to basketball

00:37throughout Europe. I mean anything we do would include a partnership with FIBA, although

00:43there are no agreements in place right now.
