00:00It's hard to enforce a law that recognizes same-sex marriage in Thailand.

00:06More than 200 same-sex couples were married today

00:10in the first ever same-sex mass wedding in Bangkok.

00:14It was organized by Thai members of the LGBT community.

00:18Marriage is for them, and the protection of the family.

00:23Thailand is the first country in Southeast Asia to legalize same-sex marriage.

00:28However, there are still some limitations in the law,

00:31such as the concept of parenthood,

00:33because biological sex is not yet allowed for transgenders.
