Former Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin says President Donald Trump understands voters’ expectations, promising to govern just as he campaigned and deliver on his promises.

00:04I mean, as you say, it's a time, you know, not everyone voted for Donald Trump by

00:10any means, but do you think that speech would have had the effect of unifying

00:14the nation? I believe so, Tom, I do, because on Monday, I couldn't keep up

00:21with the speech here. I was watching it at home and it was one thing after

00:26another after another after another that he was hitting on these points that

00:30again he had promised to do. You know what's rare about politicians in America,

00:34perhaps all over the world, is they don't govern as they've campaigned. So this is

00:40kind of a newfangled thing on a national level. I think on a local level in

00:46politics, we're held accountable if you're a mayor, if you're a governor,

00:49positions that I've held, and you do have to govern as you campaigned. On a

00:54national level, you don't normally see that, but on Monday, there was such

00:58evidence of President Trump understanding that our expectation is,

01:03yes, you will govern as you campaign. That's why we put you there. America

01:08needed a revolution.
