00:00Happy Wednesday to all of us. I'm Benison Estareja.

00:05The cold North-East monsoon or Amihan is still going on.

00:09This is the wind from mainland Asia.

00:11It's bringing weak rains to a large part of Luzon.

00:16While the shear line or the boundary of Amihan plus the easterly

00:20is affecting the eastern sections of southern Luzon and Visayas.

00:24And for the rest of Visayas and Mindanao,

00:26there are still heavy rains.

00:28And the highest chance of rain on the eastern side

00:31is still affected by the easterlies or the hot wind from the east.

00:35Based on our latest satellite animation,

00:37we don't see any low-pressure area or typhoon

00:40around the Philippine area of responsibility.

00:44And possibly by the end of January,

00:46the chance of weather disturbance will still be low.

00:51Today, the highest chance of rain in Luzon is still in the eastern section.

00:55In the Bicol region and southern Quezon,

00:57there is still the effect of the shear line or the hot and cold wind,

01:01scattered rain, and isolated thunderstorms.

01:04But it is still possible for floods or landslides to occur there.

01:08Here in the southern part of Quezon, Marinduque, Oriental Mindoro,

01:12Pacquiao of Aurora, and here in Maycaguayan Valley,

01:15the mostly cloudy skies are still expected.

01:17And it will still be accompanied by weak rains.

01:20Sometimes it becomes moderate if you are near the mountains.

01:23It is still the effect of the north-east monsoon or the cold wind.

01:26While here in this part of Luzon,

01:28you can still feel the cold wind.

01:30And there are still some weak rains for the rest of the day

01:34or for most parts of the day,

01:35especially in the morning until noon.

01:37Partly cloudy to cloudy skies.

01:39For our countrymen here in Metro Manila,

01:41the temperature is between 24 to 31 degrees Celsius.

01:44While there are places here in the northern and central Luzon that are colder,

01:48just like in Maylawag, where the temperature is 23 degrees Celsius.

01:52In Tuguegarao, Cagayan, the temperature is between 22 to 29 degrees Celsius.

01:57While in Baguio City and some parts of Cordillera region,

02:00the temperature is between 14 to 15 degrees Celsius.

02:05For our countrymen in Palawan,

02:07in the southern portions, as early as this morning,

02:10the chances of rain are high.

02:12This is only because of the Easter lease.

02:14And in Visayas, Eastern Visayas,

02:16Northern Visayas is the place where it rains the most,

02:18especially during the Northern and Eastern summer.

02:20This is also the effect of the shear line,

02:22or the heat and cold wind.

02:25For the rest of Palawan and the rest of Visayas,

02:27there are still fair weather conditions.

02:30Meaning, partly cloudy and mostly sunny in the morning.

02:33And if there is rain,

02:35it won't be continuous,

02:36only temporary isolated rains or thunderstorms.

02:40Our temperature here in Palawan is between 25 to 32 degrees,

02:43so it's a bit hot.

02:45And in Metro Cebu, 25 to 31 degrees Celsius.

02:49For our countrymen in Mindanao,

02:51it will rain the most on the eastern side,

02:53here in Micaraga region, Dinagat Islands,

02:55Surigao del Norte and Surigao del Sur.

02:58It will pile up,

02:59depending on the scattered rains and thunderstorms.

03:02This is the effect of the Easter lease,

03:03or the hot wind from the east.

03:06And speaking of hot,

03:07the rest of Mindanao will also have a bit cloudy afternoon.

03:10And there are places, as early as this morning,

03:12where there will be rain.

03:14The southern portion of Zamboanga Peninsula,

03:16plus the Sulu Archipelago,

03:18then it will be sunny until the evening.

03:20There are more places around Morogulf,

03:22southern Mindanao,

03:23and the eastern portion of Davao region,

03:25where there will also be rain.

03:27This is the effect of the Easter lease.

03:29Our temperature here in Zamboanga City and Davao City,

03:32will be up to 33 degrees when it's sunny.

03:35For now, we still don't have a gale warning

03:37or a warning for high waves.

03:39And even until the end of this week,

03:42because relatively,

03:43our northeast monsoon is not that strong yet.

03:45But in the northern and central zone,

03:47it is still possible to reach 3.7 meters,

03:50or on the floor of a house,

03:52high waves.

03:53It is still dangerous for small sea vessels.

03:55Southern zone, Visayas and Mindanao,

03:57expect between 0.5 to 1 meter high waves.

04:01But if there are thunderstorms,

04:03it is still possible to reach 2.5 meters.

04:07And for our three-day weather forecast,

04:09expect from Thursday to Saturday,

04:11the rain will mostly be on the eastern sides of our country.

04:14So in the Bicol region of eastern Visayas,

04:17especially tomorrow,

04:18it will still be rainy due to the effect of shear line

04:21or the heat and cold wind,

04:23scattered rain and thunderstorms.

04:25It can still cause flooding or landslides.

04:28Here in the portions of Caraga and Davao region,

04:31there is still a high chance of rain.

04:33It is still the effect of the Easter lease

04:35or the hot wind from the east.

04:37Here in the northern and central zone,

04:40including Metro Manila,

04:41it will be partly cloudy until the sky is cloudy.

04:44There is a high chance of thunderstorms and light rains.

04:47Here in the eastern side,

04:48like Valley and Aurora,

04:50the weather will still be cold in the coming days.

04:53And we expect here in the Luzon region, Visayas and Mindanao,

04:57it will still be partly cloudy skies

04:59and it will still be accompanied by a hot weather

05:01due to the Easter lease.

05:02And there are still places where it will rain

05:05until afternoon and evening.

05:07In Metro Manila, the sunrise is 6.25 am

05:10and the sunset is 5.15 pm.
