00:04said the U.S. would achieve peace through strength, an expression he used in his inauguration
00:08speech.
00:09Trump said he would meet Russian President Vladimir Putin very soon and said Putin was
00:12destroying Russia by refusing to negotiate a ceasefire with Ukraine.
00:16However, details on how Trump would broker a peace deal between Moscow and Kiev remains
00:20to be scarce.
00:21We will measure our success not only by the battles we win, but also by the wars we end
00:28and perhaps most importantly, the wars we never get into.
00:31It's called peace through strength.
00:34We won't have to fight the war.
00:37Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on social media that peace through strength
00:40policy would actually provide an opportunity to strengthen American leadership and achieve
00:44a long-term and just peace.
00:46When asked if Trump thought Israel and Hamas would maintain the ceasefire deal, which days
00:50earlier Trump claimed credit for, he said he is not confident that it will last.
00:55Trump also reversed sanctions on Israeli settler groups accused of violence against
00:58Palestinians in the occupied West Bank with an executive order.
