00:00On 8th January, at night, after 10 pm, in Mitnapur Medical College Hospital, a very unfortunate incident took place.

00:19After the seizure, five patients became seriously ill and one of them died.

00:25We are deeply sorry for the loss of these patients and their families.

00:32But for this incident, the six P.G.T.s, who have been suspended for various reasons,

00:39and who have been asked to file an FIR against them, we are deeply sorry for that.

00:44Our six co-workers are very anxious and mentally disturbed.

00:50As their representatives, we would like to present some facts related to the incident to the public.

00:56And we would like to put our claims to the authorities and the government.

01:01First of all, we would like to say that four of the six P.G.T.s were identified by mistake.

01:08The two P.G.T.s who were identified as first-year, one of them was second-year and the other was third-year.

01:15The two P.G.T.s who were identified as third-year, they have given a final M.S. exam.

01:21In the next two to three months, they will be forced to undergo free treatment according to the S.R.

01:28Because many hospitals do not have any senior doctors on them.

01:36It has been repeatedly said in the media that due to the operation of junior doctors,

01:41P.G.T.s are in a critical condition.

01:44So, the first question we would like to ask is,

01:47those who do not have the qualification to undergo the operation,

01:50how will they be able to undergo the operation as a senior resident in a few months?

01:55According to the rules of the National Medical Commission,

01:58P.G.T.s can undergo the operation under the supervision of a senior doctor.

02:02And in some cases, if they do not have the qualification to undergo the operation, they will not get the M.S. degree.

02:07In recent years, in every medical college, junior doctors have been operating under the supervision of seniors.

02:13Unfortunately, P.G.T.s were operating under the supervision of RMOs.

02:21And RMOs themselves have helped in several ways of the operation.

02:26It is clear from the documentation and CCTV camera of the on-duty nursing staff at OT.

02:34It has been said in some places that due to the long duration of the operation,

02:38the patients get excessive blood loss and they become unwell.

02:42We would like to say about this.

02:44The time that has been shown as the time of the operation,

02:47is usually the time from the time the patient is pushed into the OT complex to the time of discharge.

02:52During that time, the patient's entire body is checked up,

02:55the child's breathing is checked,

02:57the mother's pulse is checked,

02:59then the spinal anaesthesia is given,

03:01antiseptic dressing and draping is done,

03:03and then the patient is operated on.

03:05And after the operation, the patient is observed for a while,

03:09and then the patient is discharged from the OT complex.

03:11If we just look at the time of the operation,

03:15it is actually from 45 minutes to 1 hour.

03:18If we look at all the statistics of the last few years,

03:21we can see that the time limit of every operation is 1.5 to 2.5 hours.
