00:00My name is Rahim. My dear colleagues, media fraternity and all senior leadership of J&K Employees Coordination Committee.

00:09As you know, on 4th January, we held a press conference in this press club.

00:18We announced a program on 17th January, in which in J&K, particularly in Kashmir division,

00:27we called all the members, delegates and volunteers from all the departments.

00:34We called them for a mega protest demonstration from Srinagar, Sher-e-Kashmir Park, at the Press Colony.

00:42We mobilized that program very well. The response was very good.

00:48In an estimate, around 7000 volunteers were ready to hit the streets of the city centre.

00:56There was a need to understand this sensitivity and sensitivity issue.

01:05The government understood this issue.

01:09Since we had a program today, at 10pm yesterday, I met the top officials of the government,

01:16Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, District Magistrate Srinagar and SSP Srinagar.

01:25They did a good mediation and explained the sensitivity and sensitivity of this protest to the government.

03:05We will solve the issues as you want.

03:08We will solve the issues on a priority basis.

03:10We have given the government a positive approach for 15 days.

03:15In these 15 days, we will be close to the government.

03:18We will talk to the government.

03:20If we get a positive response in these 15 days, we will bring it to you.

03:26You will get to know about it from the government.

03:28If we do not get a positive response in 15 days, we will bring it to you.

03:33We feel that the government has taken a step forward.

03:36We are satisfied with the response we received at 10 pm yesterday.

03:43You know about our issues.

03:45I told you about our issues in the last press conference.

03:48We have given a memorandum to the government and administration.

03:52We will talk to them again.

03:55We will also talk about the invitation they have given us.

04:03Democracy has a democratic set up.

04:06Everyone has a constitutional right for peaceful protest.

04:10If our honourable member parliament, Mr. Agarwala,

04:16in a highly sensitive security zone,

04:21gathers a crowd and protests in a highly sensitive area outside the CM Residence,

04:31there is no problem in that.

04:34There should not be any problem in our protests because we are a part of the government.

04:38We are the part of the government.

04:40We are the government actually.

04:41We are running the government actually.

04:43Therefore, the government should not have any kind of hesitation for our protests,

04:47for our programmes because we are a part of the government.

04:50Governments change.

04:52Officers change.

04:53Politicians change.

04:54Political governments change.

04:56But these employees stay in their departments for 30 to 25 years.

05:04Therefore, our request to the government is that they should consider us as their own.

05:12When there is no problem in gathering a crowd outside the CM Residence,

05:19when the honourable MP is given permission,

05:22when there is no security issue,

05:25then even we should not stay because we are the guardians of this nation.

05:28These employees have sacrificed for this nation.

05:31These employees have sacrificed for this country.

05:33This system works because of these employees.
