மாட்டு பொங்கலை முன்னிட்டு தமிழகம் முழுவதும் விவசாயிகள் தங்கள் மாடுகளுக்கு அலங்காரம் செய்து, பொங்கல் வைத்து பூஜை செய்து வழிபாடு செய்து வருகின்றனர்.
