01:55that this tunnel was inaugurated by you.

01:59It is perhaps my good fortune that when the foundation stone was laid for this tunnel,

02:12It was the 2012 Border Roads Program.

02:20There were many reasons and difficulties.

02:23The project could not begin.

02:26But then, with your help and with the help of Mr. Nitin Gadkari,

02:31this project was accelerated in the last few years.

02:34And today, this tunnel in Sonmar, which was previously known as the Zermor Tunnel,

02:41is now known as the Sonmar Tunnel.

02:44It was inaugurated today.

02:46The people of this tunnel have been waiting for a long time.

02:50Because of this tunnel, people will no longer have to leave Sonmar

02:54and come to the lower areas in the winter.

02:58There will be tourism here for 12 months a year.

03:01As a destination for winter tourism, we will be able to develop Sonmar.

03:07In addition, we will be able to accelerate the Zojila Tunnel project.

03:14Mr. Prime Minister, as a result of your efforts,

03:18the peace process on the borders is also benefitting the remote areas.

03:27Whether it is Machil, Gurez, Karna, Keran,

03:32whether it is in terms of development or in terms of tourism,

03:36we cannot imagine how many tourists are taking advantage of the beauty of these remote areas.

03:45And in the same way, we hope that the number of tourists in Sonmar will also increase.

03:56Before this, when you came to Srinagar to do a program,

04:01after winning your third election,

04:06you did a program on International Yoga Day in Srinagar.

04:11During that program, you spoke to some people.

04:15And on the basis of those words, people have started to believe more in your words.

04:24You said three very important things in your speech during that time.

04:28You said that you are committed to erasing the distance of the heart and the distance from Delhi.

04:36And this is really proven by your work.

04:40Within 15 days, this is your second program on Jammu and Kashmir.

04:45Before this, you awarded Jammu to the Rail Division.
