અમદાવાદની સાબરમતી નદીના કાંઠે આંતરરાષ્ટ્રીય પતંગ મહોત્સવ 2025નો શુભારંભ થયો છે. આ પતંગોત્સવમાં 47 દેશો અને ભારતના અન્ય 11 રાજ્યોમાંથી પતંગબાજો ભાગ લીધો છે.

00:00In Ahmedabad's International Kite Flying Festival, a couple from Poland has come.

00:05Martin and Barbara, who travel all over the world.

00:09They have their own restaurant and they fly kites there.

00:14We will talk to Martin and Barbara.

00:16First we will talk to Barbara. She is the mother of three sons.

00:21Barbara, how do you feel to be part of the International Kite Flying Festival?

00:28It's an honor for me to be here and I'm very thankful for the invitation.

00:34I was waiting all year to come again to India. I feel like at home.

00:40You and your husband come to participate in the International Kite Flying Festival.

00:45Martin, what type of kite are you flying in Poland?

00:51We fly many different kites like Trilobat, Octobus, Delta and many more.

01:00We are addicted to kites. We love kites. All kinds of kites.

01:04Barbara, in India we fly kites on the 14th of January. It's called Uttarayan Hindu Festival.

01:11Makara Sankranti.

01:15In Poland, which date or which day do you fly kites?

01:20Actually, in Poland it's not so popular. Maybe at the seaside, but we are living on the salt.

01:26We make it like a celebration. It's not a special day in the calendar.

01:34We just tell people, OK, today we are going to fly kites and we try to invite as many people as we can.

01:45In India, generally kites are made of paper and bamboo stick.

01:51What material do you use to make kites?

01:56Usually it's ripstrop, the special material.

02:00Sometimes we do it from paper, but we have an eco-workshop to show the children that you can do something from nothing.

02:11But usually it's this special ripstrop.

02:15Martin, you learn a few words in Hindi. Can you spell?

02:22Namaste. My name is Martin. I am from America.

02:27How did you find this International Kite Flying Festival?

02:32How I found it? How I feel here?

02:35Excellent. This is one of the best places, one of the best festivals.

02:40I really love India and to be here.

02:44Barbara, you are also part of the International Kite Flying Festival community.

02:48Can you say something about the International Kite Flying Festival community?

02:53It's a really special time that I can meet people from all over the world.

02:59And of course from India, from here, from Ahmedabad, we are trying to speak with lots of people.

03:06Everybody is very friendly.

03:09This is one world, one sky and we believe in this.

03:15We are like one big family.

03:19So this is the message of Martin and Barbara.

03:22They are one big family and their International Kite Flying community is one big message.

03:28One sky, one kite, one thread.
