ಧಾರವಾಡ ತಾಲೂಕಿ‌ನ ತೇಗೂರು ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಮ್ಮೆ ತಳಿ ಸಂವರ್ಧನಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಇದು ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಏಕೈಕ ಎಮ್ಮೆ ತಳಿ ಸಂವರ್ಧನಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರವಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಕುರಿತ ವರದಿ ಇಲ್ಲಿದೆ.

00:00This centre was established in 1910 as a farm.

00:07After that, in 1976, it was upgraded as an M.A. Thali training centre.

00:14Since then, M.A. Thalis, especially Surthi and Mura buffalos,

00:20have been used in breeding centres for a long time.

00:27In addition, we have been doing conservation breeding work in this centre.

00:35A local breed called Krishna Viyali is also doing conservation breeding work in this centre.

00:42The main reason for this centre's existence is that

00:46this is the only M.A. Thali training centre in our state.

00:52In this breeding centre, we have been doing this for many years.

00:58If we look at the population of animals in Dharwad,

01:04as per the census of 2019, there are about 2 lakh animals.

01:09If we look at the M.A.s, there are about 50,000 M.A.s.

01:15There are other animals as well.

01:17If we upgrade the M.A.s, especially in Uttarakhand,

01:23it will be convenient for the farmers.

01:25If we integrate all these things and do an integrated farming system,

01:32it will increase the income of the farmers.

01:36I have given this advice to the U.P. Director, Mr. Vetnari.

01:41Since this is in Dharwad, it will be convenient for the farmers of Dharwad.

01:47We have also given the advice on how to do farming,

01:52and how to manage their water supply.

01:56We have also given the advice on how to bring the farmers here and train them.

02:01For the farmers, they need fodder for the whole year.

02:11In some seasons, we get fodder for the farmers.

02:18In the past few years, we have also started distributing fodder in banks.

02:23For the farmers, they can use the techniques that are available to them throughout the year.

02:33For example, they are doing silage here.

02:35They need to know how to manage the fodder and how to do it.

02:41It will be convenient for the farmers to train them.

02:45We request them to do that as well.

02:48Right now, Walmi and our agricultural research centre are working together.

02:54It should be more convenient for the farmers of our district.

02:57The M.A.T.D. research centre was established in 1910.

03:03Since 1910, we have 427 acres of land.

03:08Out of that 427 acres, the Bharatiya Hullugavallu Research Institute has 80.5 acres of land.

03:19Out of that, 326.09 acres of land is in our Super D.

03:23Out of that, 103 acres of land is cultivable.

03:29Out of those 53 acres, 50 acres of land is cultivated.

03:33Out of that land, we grow super hybrids such as Nepear, COFS, Guinea grass, grazing guinea,

03:43Mekkei jola, and hedge loosers.

03:49We are able to feed the animals here.

03:52The main purpose of our centre is to cultivate corn.

03:58The M.A.T.D. research centre has a very good M.A.T.D.

04:02We train the hedge loosers and send them to our research centre.

04:06They collect the seeds and fertilizers from there,

04:10cultivate it in the fields,

04:12and distribute it to all the agricultural institutions.

04:15When the farmers come here,

04:18we thank them and make it convenient for the farmers.

04:24Most importantly, we are cultivating the M.A.T.D. seeds.
