00:00The Office of Civil Defense, or OCD, Central Visayas has welcomed the declaration of a state of calamity in Negros, Oriental

00:08following the Mount Canloon eruption.

00:11According to OCD, Central Visayas Director and Vice Chair of Task Force Canloon, Joel Erestain,

00:18emphasized the importance of the state of calamity in facilitating the immediate provision of resources and support to affected communities.

00:27He added the declaration supports immediate evacuations and strengthens the preparedness of neighboring municipalities,

00:34highlighting the importance of coordination with local officials to effectively manage the situation.
