Ange Postecoglou has revealed Tottenham midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur is back home and doing fine after his sickening head injury during Wednesday’s Carabao Cup tie with Liverpool. Bentancur was substituted in the 15th minute after he required lengthy treatment having appeared to headbutt the floor from a corner after six minutes. Postecoglou confirmed Bentancur is now going through concussion protocols, which rules him out of Sunday’s trip to non-league club Tamworth in the FA Cup third round. Report by Covellm. 00:00Mostly, you know, positive news here.
00:02Obviously, the hospital after the game was concussed.
00:07They've done every check that they needed to do
00:11and understanding he's gone home now.
00:13So that's real positive news for us, because obviously it was a bit of a
00:17distressing situation that everyone had to deal with.
00:20But I think the players, you know, Pedro did a great job
00:24initially of notifying our medical team, did a great job.
00:27And so now it's just about recovery for him, obviously.
00:30And, you know, there are set protocols in place.
00:33But aside from those set protocols, we'll make sure that we give him
00:37as much time as he needs to get back.
