00:00The bilateral meetings between the Department of Foreign Affairs Secretary Enrique Manalo

00:04and Japanese Foreign Minister Iwaya Takeshi will take place

00:07at its headquarters in the Philippines on January 14 and 15.

00:13They will discuss political, defense, security, economic development, cooperation, and mutual concern.

00:21The two officials are expected to exchange views regarding regional and international development.

00:27It is also expected that the Philippines and Japan will strengthen their mutual commitment

00:32to strengthen the Strategic Partnership for new opportunities.

00:37In July 2024, the Philippines and Japan first signed the Reciprocal Access Agreement

00:43for a safe and secure Asia-Pacific.
