01:30We have arrested two chain snatchers in the Tekkali sub-division of Kulam district police.

01:38Recently, on 28-12-2024, on the 28th of December last year,

01:46two chain snatching offences took place in the limits of Kothoor police station and H.R. La police station.

01:53In the afternoon, when one of the offences took place near H.R. La police station,

01:58a woman was snatched by a man with a chain.

02:03After crossing the H.R. La police station,

02:06a woman was snatched from Kothoor police station by a man with a chain.

02:10In connection with this, two people have been arrested.

02:15Apart from these two offences, two other offences have been committed against us.

02:18On 11-11-2024, in the limits of Mandasa police station,

02:25and on 5-11-2024, in the limits of Kottabommali police station,

02:30two chain snatchers have been committed against us.

02:32In total, seven and a half Thulasa golds have been lost in these four offences,

02:36and there is a 100% recovery in this.

02:38Two of the accused, Sujith Kumar Padi,

02:42is from Barampur town, Ganjam district, Odisha state.

02:44A.T. Balakrishna Sahu is from Barampur town, Ganjam district, Odisha state.

02:51These two men come in a bike,

02:54they wear a mask,

02:57a person comes down,

02:59and whoever is the targeted person,

03:01comes in front of them, snatches the chain,

03:03and then goes back in the bike.

03:05There are already 32 cases on these men,

03:08from 2016 to 2024.

03:12They have already been convicted in four cases,

03:16and the remaining cases are being trialled.

03:19Apart from this, there are cases on these men in Odisha state and in Vizag city.

03:24In connection with these cases,

03:26we are going to open KD sheets now.

03:29Before, they did not have these sheets.

03:31We will open the sheets, write the DC sheets,

03:34and communicate with Odisha state.

03:37Since we are going to the village from Pandakket town,

03:41my request to the media is,

03:43we have a locked house monitoring system, known as LHMS.

03:47Whenever we leave the house and go to the village,

03:51since there is no one in the house at that time,

03:53we install a camera in the house.

03:56If a new person enters the house,

03:58we receive an alert from the police.

04:00When we receive the alert,

04:02we immediately go and catch them.

04:04Whether the offence is committed or not,

04:06we stop it before it happens.

04:07My request to the media is,

04:09request the LHMS system,

04:12so that we can provide it 100%.

04:15Apart from this,

04:17if there are any important items in the house,

04:21like property,

04:23it is better to take it with you to the village.

04:25We should not leave the house alone.

04:28If there are people in the house nearby,

04:31ask them to keep an eye on the house.

04:34If a new person enters the house,

04:35we request the LHMS system to give us information.
