00:00Cardiff is no stranger to massive worldwide events. We've hosted Rugby World Cup Games,
00:07record-breaking concert tours, the Champions League final, the list goes on. In 2025, Cardiff
00:12will be hosting some massive events once again. In the world of sport, we're starting the
00:16year like any other, with of course the Six Nations visiting the city. We all know how
00:20much of a cultural phenomenon the Six Nations is to people in the city and all across Wales.
00:24Of course, Wales aren't having the best time on the pitch at the moment, but it won't stop
00:28fans from filling up the stadium and trying to bring home the trophy, no matter how unlikely
00:32that might be. This year, there are only two Six Nations matches taking place in Cardiff,
00:38with home games against Ireland on the 22nd of February and England on the 15th of March.
00:44For the first time ever this year, the women's team will also be playing one game in the
00:47Principality during the Six Nations, with their home opener against England at the National
00:51Stadium on the 29th of March. It will almost guaranteed be the biggest crowd ever for a
00:56women's rugby match in Wales, so pubs will be pleased for an extra city centre fixture
01:00this year. And then on the musical side of things, Cardiff
01:03is set to host a number of huge shows at the Principality this year, with shows taking
01:07place throughout the summer. Taylor Swift was the headline last year, but this year
01:11will be a bit of a different crowd, with the one and only Oasis coming to the city for
01:16their sole Welsh gig on their sell-out tour. Britpop fans will be flocking to the city
01:20centre on the 4th of July, in what could be one of the biggest concerts to ever take place
01:24in the capital. Also on the summer schedule will be Lana Del Rey bringing her UK and Ireland
01:29tour to Cardiff on the 23rd of June, followed up by two iconic Welsh bands coming back to
01:34the capital. Stereophonics can't get enough of playing at the National Stadium, and they'll
01:38return on the 11th and 12th of July, in what will be a blockbuster weekend for the city,
01:43full of Welsh rock fans. Their North Walian group Catfish and the Bottlemen will be in
01:47the capital on Friday the 1st of August. So the sport will be huge, the music will be
01:52huge, and Cardiff will bring thousands of people to the centre to see some world-class
01:56events once again.
