00:00We present the samples of the substandard and unsafe categories to the courts.
00:10In this process, the Industry, Health and Welfare Department, Mr. Iqbal Khan,
00:15along with other members of the Industry, as per their instructions,
00:19we present all the samples of the substandard and unsafe categories to the courts.
00:24In the last year, in 2024, out of 15 cases,
00:29a penalty of Rs. 23 lakhs has been imposed by the ADM Court.
00:33The maximum fine for the substandard categories is Rs. 5 lakhs,
00:42as per the FSS Act.
00:44And for the misbranded categories, the maximum fine is Rs. 3 lakhs, as per the FSS Act.
00:48In this case, if we look at the old categories,
00:55out of them, Kothari milk products, in which the sample of Ghee was taken,
01:00were found to be of substandard quality.
01:03So, let's assume that the ADM has imposed a fine of Rs. 2.5 lakhs.
01:08Similarly, in all the other samples that were taken,
01:13there was a fine of Rs. 2 lakhs, Rs. 1.5 lakhs, Rs. 50,000, etc.
01:20In this case, a fine of Rs. 23 lakhs has been imposed in the last quarter.
01:27If we talk about the standard quality, in Ghee, there is a fatty acid profile.
01:33If it does not fit in the fatty acid profile, then it is considered substandard.
01:40What is substandard in Ghee?
01:42Vegetable oil is added to Ghee.
01:45So, such a mixture is considered substandard,
01:49other than the iodine value, which is not in the limit.
01:57That is the difference.
01:59That is why it is called substandard.
02:01In the case of Paneer, low-fat Paneer is sold in the market.
02:05If there is no proper fat in the low-fat Paneer, then it is considered substandard.
02:12Similarly, in oil, if the value of oil is not set on the parameters, then it is considered substandard.
