00:00You mentioned Tesla and by extension Elon Musk just there. I'd just like to get
00:05your views because something we've been talking about as we start the new year
00:09here on Al Arabiya News are the comments by Elon Musk directed at the leadership
00:16and the events in in other countries beyond the United States, notably the
00:20United Kingdom, but he's also expressed opinions about the political discourse
00:24in Germany as well. What do you think he's trying to achieve?
00:28Well, I think he's doing what anybody's doing. I mean, if you could on this
00:32program seek to influence a foreign government in some way that you would
00:35thought would be beneficial, you probably do it. You'd inform people, you
00:38try and educate people and try and sort of get them to see things your way. Elon
00:43Musk had a tremendous amount of success in the 2024 election here in the United
00:47States, more so than I think anybody realized. I don't think they anticipated
00:51his level of influence when he purchased Twitter, now X, I don't know, a year, a
00:56year and a half ago. He's extraordinarily close to the president now. As I think
01:00has been, you probably well know, he is chairing this unofficial commission on
01:05government efficiency, working very closely with the incoming Trump team. He
01:10is now moving at the highest levels of the American government.
