00:00The leadership of the Social Security System is defending against the judges and is asking to suspend the contribution rate hike of the members of the SSS.
00:10According to the SSS, 1% will be implemented, which was added this January to the previous 14% contribution rate.
00:18The Minimum Monthly Salary Credit, or MSC, which was previously at Php 4,000, will now be Php 5,000.
00:26The MSC is the basis of the contributions and benefits that will be computed.
00:31This is the last of the rate hikes implemented by the SSS, in accordance with the mandate of the Social Security Act of 2018.
00:39According to the SSS, many will be affected if the increase is suspended, which will add more than Php 51 billion to their collection this year.
